Firstly the old Longitudinal has been cut away along with some small sections
of the floor plan where the rot has spread into the floor.
The
inner longitudinal is then fitted with the heater pipes and new pipe mounts
at each end. The longitudinal end caps are then fitted. In this picture you
can also see a tidy repair of the rear suspension torsion bar area.
The
floor is repaired first, to make a clean solid edge to weld the inner longitudinal
to.

Next
to go on is the outer longitudinal. It is then completely seam welded to complete
the Longitudinal and give it its strength..
The
rocker covers are then fitted allong with the front and rear wing bottom repair
panels.
The
internals of the longitudinals are then painted with heat resistant paint to
help protect from future rust occuring
