Default 911E Sportomatic

Hi, got a 911E Sportomatic.

The car has been off the road for a few months waiting for an oil tank.

It's fitted now and the oil level & pressure are good.

The problem I have is that it wont drive now. It seems like the torque converter is slipping once it's in gear.

Is there any special way of filling it when you've changed the oil tank?

The clutch seems to be working OK. but the pressure plate seems to stop turning when you engage a gear.

Thanks for any help or advice.

It turned out that the tank we removed was off a turbo and the turbo return had been drilled inside the tank to allow oil to go to the sportomatic torque converter.

The new tank had a different outlet that was for the transmission and took oil from the bottom of the tank.

The turbo return has a pipe that runs inside the tank and exits inside at the top above the oil level.
