1964 356C Coupe Super 90

The Porsche Journey has been ongoing since the mid 1970s. Of all the 356s owned, I've had this 1964 C the longest...since 1992. Immediately I began traversing the awesome German Autobahns, the wicked Italian Autostrassa and the challenging Swiss and Austrian Alps like a true champ. In 1997 I purchased a 993 and I decided to go in for a complete body restoration on 356 Coupe. Not knowing what I would find under the extremely beautiful paint job, it was clearly a stroke of luck. The car had less than 2 percent rust. The restoration was completed by a recommended subcontractor to Porsche in Mannheim Germany. Prior to the restoration I acquired a 1961 356 B Cabriolet engine from the Asase Brothers in California . Porsche Mannheim replaced the clutch, dropped in the engine, replaced the gas tank. Today this car is 95 percent completely restored. I will replace the current 1600 Normal engine this spring with the correct 1964 Super 90. You can assure that I will continue my 356 journey on the excellent highways and by-ways of Europe, but this time with just a little more power.

Charles also has a 356 cabriolet undergoing restoration, it's featured in our restoration gallery. Thanks Charles.
