Porsche 911S 1967 LHD (USA)
1967 Porsche 911 S coupe is the real deal and we do
not see many of these any more. This will make a great car for a restoration
as it will result in a high dollar collectible that has never been wrecked
with matching numbers driveline and panels. Car is good and straight
and shows no previous damage history. This car has meticulous records
with an excellent original owners manual. The tool kit is present but
some of the tools are missing. The car had what would be considered
factory air as it was pictured in the owners manual and we believe this
was dealer installed on the early cars. The car was also equipped with
a webasto gas heater. There are two motors with the car. The motor in
the car is a 1966 2.0 liter 130hp that is stuck from having the carbs
removed and then sitting but should yield a good core that is stuck
at the rings with a good early aluminum block and counter balanced crank.
The original motor is present and we have examined it closely and the
left tensioner went down and rubbed the chainbox so the original motor
really just needs chains, chainbox, bearings, gaskets and reassembly.
We have checked the motor number to Porsche's build cardx and it is
the correct motor as well as correct numbered transmission for the car.
This was the cars original color. The interior shows all the correct
trims that are particular to the 911S, end caps on the door button handles,
aluminum extrusion under the door tops and trim panels under the quarter
windows and the early cars were pretty much hand made interior with
neat little side skirts for the fanny for the rear seat bottoms. Car
has the vented rotors and Koni suspension that was particular to the
911S. Floor is solid on the car with three minor issues, tow hook area
has been pulled out of the front suspension pan, there is a small rusted
through spot on the right side of the floor under the seat, and a small
spot where the left rear of the floor pan meets the underside of the
torsion bar area. The car will need the paint and interior restored.
The wheels are not the correct Fuchs alloy wheels for this car as wider
5 1/2 wheels have been installed but there is one of the original 4
1/2 by 15 Fuchs as a spare.
