Porsche 911S 1968 LHD (UK)

Porsche 911S 1968, SWB is now becoming a rare and sought after model, in 1968 the S was not available in the USA so numbers were never plentiful. This car originated in France.

It is fitted with Correct 68 911S engine and running gear. Body has been subject of extensive restoration by Porsche specialists, in the region of £9000 with receipts has been spent getting the body rust free. The doors, wings, engine lid, bonnet and front and rear bumpers are completely rust free and unrepaired. The main chassis has undergone extensive restoration, front tank support, rear suspension section, floor pan repairs, rear light boxes, base of heater box, front corner of sill etc

Included in the sale:

Set of 5 Deep 6 alloy wheels (2 x Refurbed)

Full interior with perfect uncut original 1968 door panels.

All glass

Lighting equipment.

Horn grills, original gear knob, steering wheel, engine lid grill, durant mirror, correct 68 breakaway interior mirror, 68 door handles, door window frames and mechanisms (still on unbolted original doors).

An excellent opportunity to own an increasingly rare and sought after early SWB 911S.

All heavy restoration work completed except the rear suspension needs swapping to Swb 68S spec (supplied) and small repair to passenger side wing closing panel, then it just needs preparation and paint in its orignal colour which was the sought after METALIC SILVER.

This car stands me in in the region of £16-£17,000. £6000 for purchase, £8-9000 on body panels and restoration and a further £2000 sourcing 5 Fuchs deep six alloys, 68 door panels, 68 breakaway interior mirror and other period original parts.

The engine was running fine before restoration commenced, and turns over fine, should run fine once you refit the fuel tank, fuel lines, battery etc.

This car is missing very very little, it needs new front and rear inticator lenses from stoddard which are readily available and no too expensive and the exhaust system needs replacement.

Fully documented photographic restoration.
