Porsche People, We have a 1969 Porsche 912 Coupe. This vehicle has the original factory paint. Looks and runs great!

This vehicle has had approximately $20,000.00 in restoration work. (we have the receipts/file!!) We purchased this vehicle from a collector. The car was discovered stored in a barn in Red ding, Ca. The "collector" began the restoration in 1994. The first "work order", notes that the vehicle had been stored for 11 years. (have a few work orders from 1976 and early 80s) Currently, there is just over 14,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. The recent hood damage (Sept. 11th, 2004) was caused by one of our neighbors. This was NOT an impact!! The driver backed his bobtail truck into the hood of the Porsche. He was unable, or failed to realize he had "tapped" the car. (he was on his cell phone) He continued to back. The arms of the liftgate, dug into the hood and "pushed" upwards. Obviously, this also scratched the original factory paint. The car has been inspected by a mechanic, and the front end suspension/mechanics are fine.

The problem...? (small crack in dash, "smidgen of rust" beneath passenger side) Recent front end damage (Sept. 11th, 2004). The front hood needs replacement, and obviously paint. (photos attached)
